Junior Youth Groups

The Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program is a global movement inspiring and supporting young people (ages 11-14) to see themselves as agents of change and to work together for a better community and world. The group meets on Sundays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Welcome Center at the Baha'i House of Worship in Wilmette.

Each week, mentors and junior youth study and discuss questions on spiritual and moral concepts. They consult on how to navigate a complex world, resist negative forces in their lives, and promote social progress. They build friendships and put all of this into action through service to others.

Inspired and sponsored by the Baha'i Faith, the program is not religious instruction. It focuses on spiritual principles fostering unity in diversity of all kinds. It thrives through the participation of people from diverse religious backgrounds and welcomes all.
